About us
Kaku is more than just a social app – it’s a platform designed to connect people who share similar hobbies and interests. Our goal is to make finding people with similar hobbies and interest easier and find a sense of community among our users.
Our Story
We created Kaku because we believe that shared interests are the foundation of lasting connections. People watch other people for the similar interests both of them possess. In any social media a person who likes a certain things have a tendency to look for that certain things i.e a musician looking for other musicians.In a world where people are increasingly connected online, we wanted to create a space where users can find others who share their hobbies, values, and passions much easier than before.
How we started
My friends and i who created this project started out of pure necessity and what if. What if we started something that is much easier. Our story started when we were forming a college rock band, we already had a singer and a guitarist but we were desperately in search of a drummer. We started to ask around with our friends and colleagues and they didn’t know anyone. Then we searched for it online and even send out an invitation post to anyone who’s interested, but no one showed up. Then we realised how difficult of an ordeal this is and why there isn’t anything to make this easier.
Our idea stemmed out of why there is tinder for dating, LinkedIn for Jobs but nothing for similar interest and hobbies. That’s why our whole objective is to make finding similar talents who is nearby much easier than any other social media.
How It Works
Our app uses a unique algorithm that matches users based on their interests, hobbies, and location. Simply swipe through profiles, and when you find someone who shares your passions, strike up a conversation, follow them, look for their passions in their reels.

We believe in creating an inclusive, and engaging community for our users.
